Creating Teamwork
Post here your suggestions and ideas for creating better teamwork when playing MP.
For example:....2 v 2 game
Using 9000 koku per team...each team member will use 4.500 koku.
This would mean allies may have to agree what units each would take, one to use infantry, spears, missiles and the other to take some inf and cavalry.
Each would then have to support the other more in battle.
It has been tried and proved to be successful and created a more tactical game IMO and no-one would be left in the foyer or watching when there are odd number of players online.
Footnote:..
The number of players to a team would not have to be equal. The total amount of koku allocated to attack defence would be the same just that players on the same team would share it equaly.
3 v 2 would play as an equal game. 3 x 3k = 9k....2 x 4.5k = 9k

Re: Creating Teamwork
Some feedback from last nights battles please.
Five of us now have the new map mongolwars01. Four have played a number of battles. (NO desyncs or CTD)
This mod now looks very stable.

Re: Creating Teamwork
I have played with these divided unit battles before (long time ago), and have always been intrigued by the idea. But I did feel severely limited in options, both then and now. This may be due to years playing with a full complement of all unit types, a hard habit to break I’m afraid.
Something I have enjoyed with the Sam group was splitting money to allow an odd number of players to compete together. With each taking a modified version of their full armies (all troop types), which feels more natural to me. This puts a heavy demand on the split team to work well together, or die. It was always enjoyable (well mostly - he he).
Another thing I really liked that was experimented with for a short time was large unit armies (100-120). I really liked the display, and the feel of the massive units

Re: Creating Teamwork
Plenty of room for large units in a 2v2 on these large maps.
