Any observations or comments about the forums new background colour/design? chat

The pixelation is deliberate, to break up the harshness of the dark areas.

As a background it's ok, a bit strange at first but ok. The banner does not look too good with this layout though. Maybe try the darker colour as in the welcome at the top of the forum homepage?

Darkened the background colour and altered the banner slightly, stands out more.
