Forum Security
This has been a problem for me for a long time, and I can't help but think that is has affected others as well, and maybe even to the point of keeping them away from this forum.
It seems like every other time I come here, or if I have to leave to do something else, when I come back I will have to log in again.
Just this afternoon I have had to log on three times, it is maddening.
I have many sites that I visit every day, and very rarely have to log back in again, perhaps once a quarter at best.
I have wanted to say something, and wished I had now, and I am sorry for that; but now I am asking if there might be a setting somewhere that could remedy this situation?
I will still come here in any case, but hope that there might be some help.

Re: Forum Security
I cannot understand why you should have this problem.
I leave the forum, still logged on. very often to visit other sites but am still logged on here when I return.
I have not had problems myself with this and no one else has posted about it.
I have checked through the Admin Control Panel and there is nothing that I can 'set' to prevent this.
I have contacted (posted) on the Support Forum to see if Forumotion can advise on this matter.
I will post their reply.

Re: Forum Security
Thanks, that is all that can be done.
It may be just me, but then again others too, as the result is that they might get tired of re-loging, and just not post about the problem.
I have at times, but I'm still here
Thanks m8!
P.S. And of course as soon as I mention it, the next day I can post straight away, go figure

This is a security system on Forumotion. If you are on a page without doing anything it will log you out. There is no way of changing this. You can increase the log off but its only to 60 minutes.

I will leave myself logged on and look in again when I return later today.
It will be more than 60 minutes so this will check if what he says is correct.

Re: Forum Security
Returning 2 hours 20 minutes later and I am still logged on and posting.
So that puts paid to their reply that it is to do with Forumotion Security.
The usual thoughts are, clear your cache, temp internet files etc but you would know about this.

Returning 6 hours later and I am still logged on.
So I would say it is nothing to do with Forumotion Security. It does not log you off after 60 minutes.

Re: Forum Security
So far so good...three days in a row I did not have to login
Sorry for the trouble...I will report if it starts again (hope never).
Btw Bachus is now able to host and play with players that he could not connect with before (well you were in one game), and who knows what else might be possible (he is on the west coast of the US).
We need to try to connect again in each others (across the pond) games, keeping fingures crossed

Re: Forum Security
FWIW I used to remain logged on for weeks or longer, I was only ever logged off due to admin work to the forum. Not sure but I think things like this can be affected by the browser used as well.
