Hope to have a chance to be around with NTW a bit more often now.

I should actually be online later today at 21:00 GMT.
Drop a line here if anyone wants to meet and I will look out for you in the lobby.

Re: Napoleon: Total War
Nice battle yesterday, Glyndwr
I really enjoyed it, although I have to admit, that half of the time I hardly knew what I was doing - still very much in the learning phase. Its quite a change from what I am usually used to - i.e. running into battle with a sword and shield in my hands and clad in chainmail or platemail with nothing more to worry about than a few lousy archers. (I never played Empire TW).
Anyhow, I now know how to deploy my cannon, and how to occupy a building. Still havent figured out how to form a square or what skirmishers do in differenrence to line infantery. Álso, somewhat irritating that the chat box automatically disappears after a while - I missed a few commands from my senior generals - well, I guess thats just the more realism
Looking forward to learning more. Perhaps a training session might be good at some time if someone would be willing to spend an eveing teaching me...

Re: Napoleon: Total War
Hi Nigel
Yes, we did have some fun. gg
I'll try to find some time to post some screen shots that may help you understand better the different commands.
We could arrange some tuition/training time?. Perhaps arrange an evening with Marcus and donbatti as well?.

Re: Napoleon: Total War
Hi Glyndwr,
thanks for the screenshots and the explanations. This has made thing a bit clearer for me.
As for meeting up with some folks for a training session - great. I am all for it.
Until Easter Time I am pretty much packed but lets pick this up again after Easter.
