Re: Map Editor and patch news.
Here is one map that is currently being tested for competition at Clan Wars for a Tie Breaker.
http://www.twcenter.net/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=3737
Open zip and copy to your new map folder.
C:\Users\(your name)\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\maps
Boot the game and making sure Key Buildings is not checked, have a look.

A grassy plain with three dojos.
Key Buildings must be unchecked to see, but they will be there (program does not work right).
Sorry it is a must join site, but was haveing problems with others, and have no community sight upload available.

Re: Map Editor and patch news.
Making new maps still relies on players downloading them?

No. If when you join a game you do not have the map in your map folder, the game will automatically download the map for you.
The only problem with this is, for example, if you are in a 2v2 or 3v3, if more than one player does not have the map, the game will download the map to each of those players who do not have it.
This could result in a long wait time as it takes approximately 6 minutes to download a map. Very frustrating.
The reason for us giving links to a map is for you to be able to download and install it yourself.
