First Patch released

The first patch has been released for M2TW.
Here is the link to the download...
http://www.gamershell.com/download_16914.shtml
Some advice from .org...

Moderator edit: Some advice on installation - to install the patch, unzip it and then run the .exe. It will ask you for a directory - choose or make a temporary one, because this is for the extracting the patch installing (it is not asking for your M2TW directory). When you have extracted the installer, run the setup file and it will automatically locate your M2TW directory and update it.

datadescr_geography_new.txt
datadescr_geography_new.db
I am copying this information so I cannot vouch for its accuracy. I have not checked it to be absolutely certain that it is correct.
The download is 39.4MB and took 5 minutes to download with my 5.4MB broadband. The site must be popular because the download speed dropped very rapidly.
I have NOT installed the patch yet.

Very disappointed.
Installed a new graphics card today, Nvidia XFX GeForce 7600GT.
A good card.
Setting up custom battles to check out lag, graphics, Low Medium and Large armies, 1v1 2v2 3v3.
Since the patch we can no longer set up more than a 1v1 custom battle.
One human player v's one AI player
The same bug as in the LAN games. This game is definately going 'backwards'. Getting worse instead of better.

U may try play a custom battle of 3v3 or 4v4 with 6k men and above to see whether u can run the game smoothly.
Just saw the above at .ORG, are you sure you didn't miss something?

A correction to my earlier post.
I have now discovered that it was an error on my part.
Custom battles, using AI allies, can be set up. I have successfully played a 2v2 and 3v3. Even to setting the unit size to Large.
3v3 with Large units was a bit laggy but playable with a bit of patience.
Unfortunately, the same option is NOT available using Hamachi. This can only be used when you have human players on the server.
So we cannot test a 2v2 or 3v3 unless the persons are actualy logged on.
Sorry for the wrong information in my earlier post.
