How to Install Samurai Warlords Mod Beta 5

To install the Samurai Warlords Mod for MTW/VI....

First, you need a new, clean install of Medieval TW plus Viking Invasion expansion pack plus Patch v2.01.
(When you first log in to MP Foyer you use your Viking Invasion CD Key)

Then you need to download and install the following (clicking on the Red links will start the downloads).....

Download Beta 5 plus Beta 5 Add-on plus Mappack Vol 1-3 for MP


Edit:
If you have a different language version than English.
A little mistake in the STWmod_beta5_11b.exe installer. It only installs English language files.
To fix this you need to copy all files from Samurai Warlords\Loc\Eng to Samurai Warlords\Loc\(your language).
Because the Eng files have to overwrite your language files.

beta_8 has multiple language support but this beta_5 does not.

You still need an unmodded copy of Medieval TW/VI 2.01.
(how to make a 2nd copy of Medieval that you can use for mods...see post above)
This mod does not work together with other mods.
It does not provide an uninstaller.
The file STWmod.bat can be used to switch between Medieval vanilla and the Shogun mod. This way you can still use your original game for MP.


Download the Samurai Wars All in One installer*

* ~50 MB
It includes the Shogun Mod beta_5, the Multiplayer Mappack 1-3 and the Shogun MP add-on.

If you already have a working version of beta 5 then you don't need this.
It's especially for new players and those that had problems installing.
